Introduction对于一篇SCI 论文的重要性这里就不多赘述了。可以这么说,一篇没有了introduction的SCI枯燥的如同一份大学生的实验报告。相信每位做科研的同道都有这样的感觉:introduction在论文中是最难写,也是最耗费时间的部分。
更可怕的是,如果英文水平再捉襟见肘点,那么整篇论文简直就是大型灾难现场。想象一下通篇都是"We have proposed xxx","It is so important that...","We can use xxx to overcome xxx"这类句式,怎么能渴望editor高看你的科研成果。拿文章去润色,不仅价格昂贵,而且一去就是好几周,还经常是由一些大学本科还毕业的英语专业大学生兼职做的,对你的专业不明就里,弄的文章鸡手鸭脚。
从审稿人的角度看,一篇文章的命运往往在打开它的10分钟内就决定了。一个熟练的审稿人会在几分钟内通读全文,从而对作者的实力水平有一个大致判断。通篇蹩脚英语直接会拉低审稿人的印象分,如果再有几处专业研究领域的不严谨,很可能就会被直接拒稿。
当然审稿人不会直接告诉你拒稿的原因是觉着你很low,他会告诉你文章创新性不够,研究没有意义,方法老旧等笼统的理由。从这个意义上讲,为了取悦审稿人,我们也应该尽可能使文章的语法地道,框架严谨,从而给自己的文章增光添彩。
地道的英语多用被动语态,句式也丰富多变。多掌握一些常用句式能够很快的帮我们搭建文章的结构,增加文章的可读性,理顺行文思路。咱们今天就一起学习一下Introduction的常用逻辑结构和常用句式结构吧。
1.表述研究主题的价值、意义;
2.简要回顾领域内的相关学术文献;
3.目前存在的问题、争议或知识缺口;
4.介绍本研究的目的、研究问题或假设;
5.提供研究设计和方法的概要;
6.解释研究的意义或价值;
7.提供论文整体结构的概述。
a)题XXX是重要的;
b)以往研究A、B曾经研究过这个问题;
c)但A、B的局限性和缺陷是XXX;
d)我们提出了新方法C/发现了新的C现象;
e)C的基本特征,和A、B进行比较;
f)实验证明C比A、B优越;
g)文章的基本结构,大纲。
